Upton's 3-run walkoff HR keeps Tigers' streak alive vs. Sox, 7-4
Justin Upton hit a walkoff three-run homerun to keep the Detroit Tigers' winning streak going, despite Justin Verlander's groin injury, in defeating the Chicago White Sox, 7-4, for a sweep of their weekend series.
J.D. Martinez also hot a homerun for Detroit, who have now won four straight and five of their last six games to move back to .500 (28-28). Justin Wilson (3-1) picked up the win with a scoreless inning.
After taking Monday off, the Tigers will be back in action inside Comerica Park to start a 3-game series against the L.A. Angles this Tuesday night at 7 pm.
