UConn & Texas A&M complete women's Final Four
First the men, now the women. UConn's Maya Moore scored 28 points, including the 3,000th of her career, to lead the #1 Connecticut Huskies to a 75-40 win over the #2 Duke Blue Devils in the Philadelphia regional finals to earn a fourth straight trip to the Final Four. The Huskies are two victories away from winning their third straight national championship, matching the school's own run from 2002-04 and Tennessee's from 1996-98. But first, they will have to contend with the #2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the 2011 women's Final Four this Sunday, who will virtually be playing at home in their home state of Indiana. The game is set to begin at 9:30 pm ET.
In their fourth meeting this year, Sydney Carter and Texas A&M finally beat Baylor--when it mattered most. The #2 Aggies are going to the NCAA Final Four for the first time in school history after a 58-46 victory over the #1 Baylor Bears in the Dallas regional finals. With the win, Texas A&M will now face #1 Stanford this Sunday in the Final Four from Indianapolis, IN at 7 pm ET.
