SmackDown - April 1, 2011 - Chicago, IL

On the last stop before WrestleMania XXVII this Sunday, SmackDown only had three matches while the rest of the show previewed the WrestleMania matches from Axxess in Atlanta, GA. The first match was a rematch for the Intecontinental Championship between the champion Wade Barrett and Kofi Kingston. Throughout the match, Kofi appeared to be on his way to reclaiming the gold, but then The Corre interefered, causing a disqualification. As the mayhem ensued, Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov ran down to help out and soon after, Kane & the Big Show appeared and cleared the ring of the Corre.




While Michael Cole was conveniently away from his "Cole Mine", Jerry "The King" Lawler came out and spoke about his match against Cole at WrestleMania XXVII, stating that he would finally shut him up.




In the last match, Cody Rhodes took on Chris Masters. Still wearing his protective mask, Cody used it during the match & executed Cross-Rhodes on Masters for the win. Afterwards, Rey Mysterio ran down and assaulted Cody from what happened to him last week. During the attack, Rey exposed his knee brace, this time on purpose, but Cody got out of the ring before Rey could get a chance to use it.
