Blackhawks double up Red Wings, 4-2
Brent Seabrook and Marian Hossa each had a goal and an assist to help the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Detroit Red Wings, 4-2.
Ben Smith and Brian Campbell also scored for Chicago, fighting for a playoff spot a year after winning the Stanley Cup. Patrick Kane had two assists, and Corey Crawford made 26 saves.
Drew Miller and Tomas Holmstrom scored for Detroit, third in the Western Conference. Jimmy Howard stopped 25 shots.
Despite the loss, the Red Wings have one last chance to reach the 2nd spot in the Western Conference before the playoffs get underway in the next few days. After San Jose lost to Phoenix last night, the Wings are still one point behind, however If San Jose losses tonight and Detroit defeats Chicago on the road Sunday, then it will be the Red Wings entering the postseason as a #2 seed.
