Wolverines beat down Nebraska at the Big House, 45-17
For years, Michigan and Nebraska were the talk of who was the true National Champion in 1997. In that year, Michigan shared the national championship with the Cornhuskers by winning the Associated Press trophy. In Ann Arbor Saturday, the Wolverines showed their dominance by tearing apart Nebraska, 45-17.
With a crowd of over 110,000 fans, they were chanting for Robinson and he gave the fans a show.
Denard Robinson responsible for four U-M touchdowns, two in the air and one to Jeremy Gallon. Nebraska tied up the game in the second with a Brett Maher 51-yard field goal at 10 apiece. The Wolverines outscored the Cornhuskers 35-7 afterwards, two keys turnovers led to Michigan touchdowns. Robinson ran two in from 14 and 1 yard, Cornhuskers only had 12 first downs and 256 yards total offense.
The running game the key also with the Wolverines, having 235 yards with four Nebraska turnovers that led to numerous U-M points. Michigan (9-2) are now in line for an at large BCS bid.
