Tigers beat by the Twins in Lakeland 7-3
Andy Oliver struggled with his control and allowed a three-run homer in Detroit’s 7-3 loss to the Twins. The Tigers have few spots on the opening-day roster, the fifth starter is the challenge behind Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer, Rick Porcello, and Doug Fister.
Oliver has only seven major league appearances in two seasons with the Tigers—all starts. Delmon Young continuing his hot bat with a homer in the fifth. Tigers do have a day off on Thursday.
