Tigers take two-of-three against the Rays with 7-2 win
Brennan Boesch drove in four runs that helped the Detroit Tigers to beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 7-2. Collin Balester (1-0) allowed one run in two innings of relief.
Detroit trailed 1-0 until they scored three runs off Jeff Niemann (0-1) in the fifth. The Tigers currently hold the best record in the American League and the bullpen has been real good early having all the wins while the starting pitchers are working their innings.
The Tigers started the season with nine straight day games, which is the longest streak by an American League team since the White Sox in 2004.
