Tigers & Giants advance to LCS; Nats & O's force Game 5

Verlander tossed his first career postseason shutout and complete game with a 122-pitch masterpiece. The Tigers will face the winner of the other ALDS between the N.Y. Yankees and Baltimore in Game 1 of the AL Championship Series, which is scheduled for Saturday.
