Hanson's FG seals OT win for Lions ve. Eagles, 26-23
Matthew Stafford rallied Detroit back from a 10-point 4th-quarter deficit and Jason Hanson kicked a 45-yard field goal in overtime as the Lions earned a big win over the Philadelphia Eagles, 26-23.
Stafford led Detroit to 17 points in the last 10 minutes to force overtime, throwing a touchdown pass and running for a score. He finished with 311 yards passing, one touchdown, and one interception. The comeback kept Lions (2-3) from a 1-4 start a year after opening 5-0 en route to their first playoff appearance since 1999.
Calvin Johnson had 135 yards receiving, but the All-Pro wide receiver has yet to get any touchdown catches from Stafford this season. That dubious streak would've ended, but Johnson was called for offensive pass interference to negate his 11-yard TD grab in the 4th quarter.
Up next for the Lions is a trip to Chicago for a NFC North division game to face the Bears on Monday Night Football.
