Tigers' 3-run 8th inning seals win over Houston, 6-2

Tigers' starting pitcher Alfredo Simon allowed two unearned runs in seven innings as Detroit got the best of the Houston Astros, 6-2.

J.D. Martinez hit a three-run homerun in the 3rd inning and Miguel Cabrera scored on Rajai Davis's two-out infield single in the 8th inning. Davis then stole second base before James McCann knocked in a two-run single.

Detroit will send Kyle Lobstein to the mound to face the Astros at Comerica Park this Saturday afternoon at 4 pm.
