Red Wings blanked in San Jose 2-0

Red Wings had 27 shots but was blanked in San Jose 2-0. The first goal in the first period for the Sharks was knocked off of Nick Kronwall's skates. Jimmy Howard played well in net allowing 22 saves and keeping the score at 1-0 until late in the third period where Brent Burns scored his fifth.

Johan Franzen left the game in the second period with a lower body injury. Detroit hosts Chicago Sunday afternoon at Joe Louis Arena Game Time 12:30pm
