Don Kelly broke a 1-1 tie in the sixth with a three run homer leading the Tigers to a 4-1 win over the Indians. Kelly's homer was off of Cleveland's starter Justin Masterson.

Jose Alvarez made his major league debut allowing one run and three hits, while striking out seven in six innings of work.
