Prince Fielder had three hits, including a homerun, as the Detroit Tigers bounced back and defeated the Chicago White Sox, 8-5, at Comerica Park.
Miguel Cabrera and Victor Martinez each had three hits and an RBI as the Tigers collected 15 hits. The first five hitters in the Tigers' lineup went 13-for-23 with six RBIs and six runs scored.
Rick Porcello (6-6) went six innings, giving up just three earned runs on seven hits, no walks, and six strikeouts on 93 pitches.
Detroit will wrap up their 3-game series with Chicago this Thursday afternoon at 1 pm when Anibal Sanchez (7-5) takes the mound for the Tigers against White Sox starter Chris Sale (5-8 ). Thursday is also the last day for fans to vote in Tigers reliver Joaquin Benoit into the 2013 All-Star game.
