TORII HUNTER RBI SINGLE THE DIFFERENCE IN A TIGERS 3-2 WIN OVER THE WHITE SOX IN 12 INNINGS

Torii Hunter's RBI single was the difference in Detroit's 3-2 win over the White Sox in 12 innings. The Tigers down 1-0 until the seventh inning when Alex Avila had an RBI Double, plus Roman Santiago's Sac fly scoring Jhonny Peralta.
Drew Smyly gave up a solo homer to Paul Konerko in the ninth inning to tie the game at two. Miguel Cabrera had a pinch hit in the 12th then Matt Tuiasosopo ran for Cabrera and Austin Jackson Sacrficed Tuiasosopo to second and Hunter hit a single to left field scoring the game winning run.
The Tigers have won 12 out of their last 13 games and also eight straight. Rick Porcello pitched into the eighth inning allowing a run and eight hits, Bruce Rondon (1-1) pitched two scoreless innings striking out three.
