Chris Sale pitches complete game for White Sox,defeats Tigers 6-2.
Chris Sale pitched his fourth complete game of the season surrendering just two runs on nine hits as the Chicago White Sox beat up the Tigers 6-2 on Monday night in the windy city. Josh Phegley, Alexei Ramirez, and Gordon Beckham all had RBI's in a three-run fifth, and Alejandro De Aza hit a sacrifice fly in a two-run eighth to put the game away for good. Miguel Cabrera went 2 for 4 hit hitting his 37th homer of the year to no avail as Detroit has now lost three of their last four games. Tiger starter Doug Fister (10-6) gave up four runs on eight hits and three walks in six innings of work. Detroit hopes to bounce back on Tuesday night when they send Max Scherzer (17-1, 2.84) to the mound to face Hector Santiago (3-7, 3.43) for a 8:10 start.
