HOWARD 47 SAVES BUT THE RANGERS BLANKED THE RED WINGS 1-0

Its great to see two great goalies going at it save to save but unfortunate to see a loser in this one, but late in the third New York scored on a deflection off of Detroit's Defenseman Brian Lashoff, Rangers beat the Red Wings 1-0.
Jimmy Howard incredible performance stopping 47 of 48 New York shots, 35 of them were in the first two periods.
Detroit had a huge chance to tie the game with seconds left Gustav Nyquist's wrist shot was past Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist then he blocked the puck from going in.
Tough for the Wings when being shutout back to back games 1-0 in Anaheim on Sunday and 1-0 tonight against New York.
