Michigan earns hard-fought win in East Lansing vs. MSU, 80-75
The Michigan Wolverines used an 11-point 2nd half advantage to upset the Michigan State Spartans inside the Breslin Center in East Lansing, 80-75. Michigan has now won nine straight games, with the past three coming against top-10 ranked opponents.
Meanwhile, the Spartans (18-2, 7-1) had their 11-game winning streak snapped and have surrendered 1st place in the Big Ten to the Wolverines (15-4, 7-0), despite a career-high 27 points from Gary Harris and 10 points & 10 assists from Keith Appling.
Michigan will return home to Ann Arbor to defend their top spot in the Big Ten this Thursday night when they face Purdue at 9 pm while Michigan State travels to Iowa this Tuesday to take on the Hawkeyes at 7 pm.
