The Eastern Michigan Eagles, Ann Arbor's neighbor from Ypsilanti, went on the road and stunned the  Michigan Wolverines for the second game in a row, 45-42.  Still reeling from the loss to NJIT, the Wolverines shot just 33% from the field, which is their lowest mark of the season, including a stretch of 12 consecutive misses in the 1st half.

Eastern Michigan were led by Jodan Price with 11 points.  The Eagles shot just 15-of-46 from the field, but hauled in nine offensive rebounds to keep possessions alive and stay within striking distance.  Mike Talley added nine points and Karrington Ward finished with seven points.

Michigan will look to break out of their slump this Saturday evening when they travel to Arizona to face the Wildcats at 5:15 pm while the Eagles (8-1) look to go to 2-for-2 against the Big Ten's other in-state opponent, Michigan State next Wednesday night at 9 pm in East Lansing.

On the women's side, the Eastern Michigan Eagles kept their home record spotless with an 88-68 victory over the Madonna Crusaders. With the victory, the Eagles advance to 6-3.

Eastern got a career night from senior Jamaica Bucknor, who went 10-of-11 from the field and a perfect 3-for-3 from three-point range for 25 points while also pulling down a team-high eight rebounds. The Eagles will take nearly two weeks off before making the short trip to Ann Arbor to square off against Michigan on Monday, December 22nd. Game time is set for 12 pm.

Michigan was led by senior Cyesha Goree, who had 14 points to go along with five rebounds and two blocks. The Wolverines will head to South Bend, Indiana this Saturday afternoon to take on Notre Dame at 1 pm.
