Michigan women knock down Penn State in Ann Arbor, 89-53
The Michigan Wolverines used runs of 14-0 & 15-0 in the 1st half and led by as many as 40 points in a dominating 89-53 win over the Penn State Nittany Lions in front of 3,034 fans inside Crisler Center.
Freshman Katelynn Flaherty led all scorers with 21 points, shooting 7-of-12 from the field and 4-of-6 from three-point range. Senior Cyesha Goree recorded her fifth straight double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds while adding five assists.
Michigan (9-4, 1-1 Big Ten) will remain in Ann Arbor this Sunday afternoon when they host in-state & Big Ten rival Michigan State at 2 pm.
