Tatar scores twice to lead Red Wings past Nashville, 5-2
Henrik Zetterberg scored from behind the goal line in the 2nd period and Tomas Tatar scored twice to help the Detroit Red Wings snap the Nashville Predators' five-game winning streak with a 5-2 victory.
Gustav Nyquist and Kyle Quincey scored in the 1st period for Detroit and backup goaltender Petr Mrazek made 34 saves in place of the injured Jimmy Howard.
In less than 24 hours, Detroit will be back on the ice at the Joe Louis Arena this Sunday night when they host Buffalo at 8 pm.
