Without LeVert, Michigan hangs on to defeat Rutgers, 54-50
Derrick Walton Jr. scored 10 of his 12 points in the final six minutes as the Michigan Wolverines defeated the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, 54-50.
Aubrey Dawkins had 11 points and Zak Irvin added 10 points for the Wolverines, who were playing their first game without leading scorer and rebounder Caris LeVert. The junior guard is out for the season with a left foot injury.
Michigan (12-7, 5-2 Big Ten) will be back home in Ann Arbor this Saturday night to host Wisconsin inside the Crisler Center at 7 pm.
