Central hangs on long enough to defeat McNeese State, 74-73
The Central Michigan Chippewas held on long enough to defeat the McNeese State Cowboys, 74-73, at McGuirk Arena in Mt. Pleasant, to snap a three-game losing streak. McNeese's Jamaya Burr’s 3-point attempt at the buzzer was unsuccessful.
Rayshawn Simmons scored 16 points, Braylon Rayson had 12 points, and Luke Meyer added 11 points to lead CMU (3-3) to victory.
The Chippewas will hit the road once again as they travel out west to Phoenix, Arizona to take on Grand Canyon (4-0) this Thursday night at 9 pm ET.
