Red Wings claim 1st place in Atlantic with 5-4 win over Florida
Luke Glendening scored twice and Stephen Weiss had a goal & two assists against his former team to get the Detroit Red Wings a 5-4 win over the Florida Panthers for their sixth straight victory.
Henrik Zetterberg & Drew Miller also scored for Detroit and goaltender Petr Mrazek made 37 saves in his eighth consecutive start.
With Tampa Bay losing to Carolina, the Red Wings (65 pts.) are on top of the Atlantic Division and will defend their new position against the Lightning (64 pts.) this Thursday night at 7:30 pm.
