Red Wings tie for 1st place in East with 3-1 win vs. Coyotes
Goaltender Petr Mrazek made 22 saves as the Detroit Red Wings earned a 3-1 victory over the Arizona Coyotes to move into a 1st place tie in the Eastern Conference with Tampa Bay (71 points).
Riley Sheahan, Tomas Tatar, and Darren Helm scored for Detroit, who felt like they were at the Joe Louis Arena due to the pro-Red Wings crowd. The Coyotes reported that they set a new game revenue record, even though most of the crowd were Detroit supporters.
The Red Wings return to Eastern Conference action this Wednesday night when they travel to Pittsburgh to face the Penguins at 8 pm.
