Red Wings avoid west coast sweep with 3-2 win over Sharks
Luke Glendening scored the game-winner with 1:15 remaining as the Detroit Red Wings avoided a west coast sweep by defeating the San Jose Sharks, 3-2.
Pavel Datsyuk and Temu Pulkkinen also scored for the Red Wings, who snapped a two-game losing streak. Goaltender Jimmy Howard made 20 saves to earn his fourth win in 14 career games against San Jose.
Detroit will wrap up their long six-game road trip this Saturday afternoon when they travel to Nashville to take on the Predators at 3 pm.
