MAC teams come out on top in 1st round of conference tourney

Raven Lee scored 19 points, including a 3-pointer to force overtime, as the #8 Eastern Michigan Eagles came from behind to eliminate the #9 Miami (OH) RedHawks, 62-61, in the first round of the 2015 MAC tournament.
Eastern Michigan (20-12) will move on to the 2nd round to face #5 Bowling Green this Wednesday evening in Cleveland, Ohio. Game time is set for 6:30 pm.
David Brown made a career-high eight 3-pointers and scored 34 points to help the #6 Western Michigan Broncos defeat the #11 Ohio Bobcats, 82-74 to advance to the second round of the MAC tournament.
Thomas Wilder added 18 points and five assists for Western Michigan (20-12), who have won at least 20 games in each of the last three seasons and will play #7 Akron this Wednesday night in Cleveland, Ohio at around 9 pm ET.
