Bad day for Red Wings as Philadelphia dominates, 7-2
Brayden Schenn scored twice to lead the Philadelphia Flyers to a 7-2 pounding of the Detroit Red Wings. Wayne Simmonds, Nicklas Grossman, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, Matt Read, and Zac Rinaldo also scored for Philadelphia, who broke a four-game losing streak.
Justin Abdelkader and Erik Cole scored for Detroit, who opened a four-game road trip by losing their fourth in the last five games .
After nearly 24 hours, the Red Wings will head to the west part of Pennsylvania to take on Pittsburgh this Sunday afternoon at 12:30 pm.
