Lightning shuts out Rangers, 2-0, to win East championship
The Tampa Bay Lightning handed the New York Rangers their first Game 7 loss at Madison Square Garden with a 2-0 road victory to become the 2015 Eastern Conference Champions
Goaltender Ben Bishop made 22 saves and Alex Killorn & Ondrej Palat scored in the 3rd period as the Lightning allowed only four goals in as many games at Madison Square Garden.
Tampa Bay now awaits the Game 7 winner of the West Finals between Anaheim & Chicago, which will be decided this Saturday night. The Lightning could have home ice advantage in the Stanley Cup Finals, which begins this Wednesday night, if Chicago wins.
