J.D. Martinez suffers knee contusion as Tigers fall to O's, 6-2
Caleb Joseph homered & drove in three runs and starting pitcher Kevin Gausman allowed four hits over seven innings as the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Detroit Tigers once again, 6-2.
Nick Castellanos hit a two-run homerun in the 5th inning, but Detroit's starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez (10-9) allowed six runs in 6 & 2/3 innings. J.D. Martinez left the game in the 3rd inning after fouling a ball off his left knee in the 2nd inning. X-rays were negative.
The Tigers end their long two-week road trip in Baltimore this Sunday afternoon at 1:30 pm.
