Madness continues with 7 more tournaments Friday

On Friday, March 4th, seven more tournaments (4 from the men & 3 from the women) from six conferences get underway while others continue to pursue a birth in the NCAA Tournament.




ATLANTIC 10 WOMEN'S TOURNAMENT - FIRST ROUND

#5 Charlotte vs. #12 Massachusetts
#6 Dayton vs. #11. George Washington
#7 St. Bonaventure vs. #10 Fordham
#8 St. Joseph's vs. #9 La Salle

On Saturday, #1 Xavier, #2 Temple, #3 Duquesne, & #4 Richmond will face the first round winners. The semifinals will be played on Sunday, followed by the championship on Monday. The Atlantic 10 tournament will be take place in Lowell, MA.




BIG EAST WOMEN'S TOURNAMENT - FIRST ROUND

#9 Syracuse vs. #16 Seton Hall
#10 West Virginia vs. #15 Cincinnati
#11 Providence vs. #14 Villanova
#12 Pittsburgh vs. #13 South Florida

For Saturday in the 2nd round, #5 Marquette, #6 Louisville, #7 St. John's, & #8 Georgetown will face the first round winners. On Sunday, #1 Connecticut, #2 DePaul, #3 Notre Dame, & #4 Rutgers will begin play in the quarterfinals against Saturday's winners. The semifinals will take place on Monday, March 7th, followed by the championship on Tuesday, March 8th. The whole tournament will be held in Hartford, CT.




COLONIAL (CAA) MEN'S TOURNAMENT - FIRST ROUND

#5 Drexel vs. #12 Towson
#6 James Madison vs. #11. William & Mary
#7 Delaware vs. #10 Northeastern
#8 UNC-Wilmington vs. #9 Georgia State

On Saturday, #1 George Mason, #2 Old Dominion, #3 Hofstra, & #4 VCU will face the first round winners. The semifinals will be played on Sunday, followed by the championship on Monday. The CAA tournament will be take place in Richmond, VA.




MAAC MEN'S TOURNAMENT - FIRST ROUND

#7 Siena vs. #10 Manhattan
#8 Niagara vs. #9 Marist

On Saturday, #1 Fairfield & #2 Iona will face the first round winners in the quarterfinals, along with two other games...
#3 Rider vs. #6 Canisius
#4 St. Peter's vs. #5 Loyola (MD)

The semifinals will be held on Sunday with the championship to be played on Monday. The MAAC tournament will take place on the campus of Fairfield University in Bridgeport, CT.




SOUTHERN (SoCon) MEN'S TOURNAMENT - FIRST ROUND

Furman vs. Samford
Appalachian State vs. Georgia Southern
Davidson vs. UNC-Greensboro
Elon vs. The Citadel

On Saturday, College of Charleston, Western Carolina, Wofford, & Chattanooga will face the first round winners. The semifinals will be played on Sunday, followed by the championship on Monday. The SoCon tournament will be take place in Chattanooga, TN.




WEST COAST MEN'S & WOMEN'S TOURNAMENT

MEN'S FIRST ROUND
#5 Portland vs. #8 Loyola Marymount
#6 Pepperdine vs. #7 San Diego

On Saturday in the quarterfinals, #3 San Francisco & #4 Santa Clara will play the first round winners while #1 St. Mary's & #2 Gonzaga await their opponents on Sunday in the semifinals.

WOMEN'S FIRST ROUND
#5 Santa Clara vs. #8 San Francisco
#6 Loyola Marymount vs. #7 San Diego

On Saturday in the quarterfinals, #3 Pepperdine & #4 Portland will play the first round winners while #1 Gonzaga & #2 St. Mary's await their opponents on Sunday in the semifinals.

Both championship games for the men & women will be played on Monday, March 7th. Both WCC tournaments will take place in Las Vegas, NV.
