New-look Eagles lose tough battle to Old Dominion, 38-34
Ray Lawry ran for 223 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Old Dominion Monarchs to a 38-34 come-from-behind victory over the Eastern Michigan Eagles in the season opener for both teams.
Darius Jackson ran for 117 yards on 19 carries for EMU while quarterback Reginald Bell threw two touchdown passes, both to Dustin Creel, and Dylan Mulder kicked two field goals, including a 52-yarder in the 4th quarter.
Next Saturday (Sept, 12), the Eagles will travel west to the city of Laramie to play the Wyoming Cowboys at 4 pm.
