Road domination continues as Rangers & Astros take Game 1
Robinson Chirinos hit a two-run homerun against Toronto's starting pitcher & former Detroit Tiger David Price and Rougned Odor added a solo homerun as the Texas Rangers defeated the Blue Jays, 5-3 in their AL Division Series opener as postseason baseball returned to Toronto for the first time in 22 years. Game 2 is set for this Friday afternoon at 12:30 pm.
Despite a 49-minute rain delay in the middle of the game, Houston's starting pitcher Collin McHugh helped the Astros take down the Kansas City Royals over six innings for a 5-2 victory in the opener of their American League Division Series. According to STATS, it's the first time since 1970 that visiting teams won baseball's first four postseason games. The other two times it happened were 1906 and 1923. Game 2 will be this Friday afternoon at 3:30 pm when lefty Scott Kazmir takes the mound for Houston against Texas' right-hander Johnny Cueto.
