Justin Verlander proved to be the stopper in the evening set of today's doubleheader. He pitched six stingy innings, allowing one run (zero earned) on just four hits, and striking out eight giving the Tigers the 3-2 win.The Rangers Neftali Feliz was no slouch giving up just three runs on three hits while striking out a career-high six batters through eight innings of work.

Amazingly three runs were all the Tigers needed with Ramon Santiago knocking in two runs and Delmon Young with an RBI, all in the fourth inning, as they finally slowed down the red hot Rangers bats.
