Titans & Wolverines each score 88 points to secure wins at home
The Detroit Titans kicked off the new season by defeating the Central State Marauders, 88-65, at Calihan Hall. The win was UDM's 22nd-straight home-opening victory in a streak that dates back to 1994.
Freshman Josh McFolley led Detroit with 17 points and senior Carlton Brundidge added 14 points, along with six rebounds & a team-high five assists. Senior Anton Wilson had 13 points, including four 3-pointers, and sophomore Jaleel Hogan finished the night with 10 points and six rebounds.
Up next for the Titans (1-0) is a trip to Pittsburgh to take on the Panthers this Friday night at 8 pm.
Duncan Robinson scored 19 points to lead the Michigan Wolverines to an 88-68 victory over the Elon Phoenix. Robinson hit all six of his field goal attempts -- including five from 3-point range -- and two free throws.
Derrick Walton added 24 points, seven assists, & six rebounds for Michigan and Zak Irvin played his first game since having back surgery in the offseason.
The Wolverines will remain home at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor to host Xavier this Friday night at 9 pm ET.
