Titans women's Head Coach Autumn Rademacher's excitment showed while coaching her team in the Horizon League quarterfinal game against Valparaiso. It's Detroit's ninth different starting lineup this season for Rademacher and she has seen alot of injuries on her team.

The 2010 Horizon League Coach of the Year led the Titans to a 57-50 victory over the Crusaders. Valpo led 30-24 at halftime until the Titans figured out their 2-3 defense outscoring the Crusaders 33-20. Detroit's first lead for the game was 42-41 midway through the 2nd half with Cherridy Thornton's three pointer as her head coach closed her eyes and then saw the shot go in.

This team shows the personality of Rademacher with tons of energy & never the willingness to quit. Detroit had chances in giving this game away, but the determination of the coaching staff and belief in their players showed a victory as they advanced in the tournament. Thornton led teh Titans with 25 points and Detroit shot 59% from the field.

Detroit will now go to Butler against the #2 Bulldogs on Wednesday at 7 pm ET in the Horizon League quarterfinals. Also on Wednesday, #3 Cleveland State will host #6 UIC. On the other side of the bracket, #1 Green Bay will face #8 Loyola, who barely defeated #9 Youngstown State 49-47 on Tuesday, and #4 Wright State will play at home against #5 Milwaukee.

On Tuesday, the men & women of Oakland University will headline the Summit League championships in Sioux Falls, SD. And yes,it does appear both teams criss-crossed opponenets. With the #1 men defeating #5 South Dakota State, 110-90, they will face #2 Oral Roberts for the title at 9 pm ET. And speaking of an OU-ORU game, the #4 Oakland women destroyed #1 Oral Roberts, 96-62, and will take on #3 South Dakota State, who will no doubt have a "home court" advantage. The game wil begin Tuesday afternoon at 4 pm ET.
