MSU women take down Wisconsin; Michigan falls to Indiana in OT
Aerial Powers scored 22 points, along with 12 rebounds, and Jasmine Hines added 15 points as the Michigan State Spartans defeated the Wisconsin Badgers, 77-67.
Tori Jankoska added 13 points & seven assists and Branndais Agee finished with 11 points, five steals, & four assists for Michigan State (10-3, 1-1 Big Ten), who were perfect on nine free throws in the 4th quarter.
The Spartans will hit the road this Thursday night when they travel to Penn State to face the Nittany Lions at 7 pm.
Sophomore Katelynn Flaherty hit a three-pointer with 27.1 seconds in regulation to send the game into overtime, but the Michigan Wolverines couldn't follow up as they lost, 77-69, to the Indiana Hoosiers.
Flaherty led U-M with 20 points on 8-for-19 shooting while Siera Thompson recorded 15 points, four rebounds, and a pair of assists. Michigan committed 31 fouls in the game, resulting in 42 Indiana free throws.
The Wolverines (8-5, 0-2 Big Ten) will return home to Ann Arbor in hopes of earning their first Big Ten win of the season when they take on Iowa this Thursday night at 7 pm.
