Senators claim victory on the road to advance to Eastern Finals
Erik Karlsson had a goal & an assist and goaltender Craig Anderson made 37 saves as the Ottawa Senators eliminated the New York Rangers with a 4-2 victory in Game 6 of their Eastern Conference semifinals.
Mark Stone & Mike Hoffman scored in the 1st period for Ottawa, Jean-Gabriel Pageau clinched the series with an empty-netter with 6.2 seconds left for his 7th goal of the postseason, and Clarke MacArthur finished with two assists.
The Senators, going to the Eastern Finals for the first time in ten years, will remain on the road & head to either Washington or Pittsburgh. That series is tied at three and Game 7 is set for this Wednesday night.
