New Red Wings Player called up from Grand Rapids

The Detroit Red Wings today announced that forward Jan Mursak has been recalled from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League. Mursak will be available to play tonight when the Wings take on the Colorado Avalanche in Denver .

Mursak, 22, was selected by Detroit in the sixth round (182nd overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. He has played the last three seasons with Grand Rapids, including the current 2010-11 campaign in which he has 23 points in 33 games (10-23—33).
