The Tigers' 4-game winning streak ended for now as they went down to Oakland, 6-2. Justin Verlander, who pitched 6 innings, recorded 6 strikeouts and gave up 4 runs, including a throw that was ruled a balk, which was still in debate.
On offense, Victor Martinez produced a couple of hits, one being a double.
Detroit will wrap their 4-game series with the A's on Sunday at 4 pm ET.
