JUSTIN VERLANDER TOSSES 2ND CAREER NO-HITTER IN TIGERS 9-0 WIN
Justin Verlander pitched a no-hitter as the Tigers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 9-0. Verlander had a perfect game through seven innings but gave up a walk to Toronto's J.P. Arencibia.
Verlander achieved this feat four years ago on June 12, 2007 vs. the Brewers and joins Virgil Trucks as the only two pitchers in Tiger history with two career no-hitters. This is the second no-hitter of the 2011 season since the Minnesota Twin's Francisco Liriano no-hit the White Sox four days ago.
