Spartans late rally boosts OT win vs. Badgers
Trailing by nine points late in the 2nd half was just what the Spartans needed to get their attention in order to pull off 9-0 run in regulation. With the help of Draymond Green's career-high 26 points and Kalin Lucas' key free throws in overtime, Michigan State earned a hard fought victory against the Wisconsin Badgers, 64-61. Lucas finished the game with 17 points while Green was one rebound away from a double-double. In addition to the win, head coach Tom Izzo was satisfied with the fact that his Spartans only had 11 turnovers, given they played two halves plus overtime. The Spartans improve to 11-5 (3-1 in the Big Ten) and look to continue their success at home against the Northwestern Wildcats this Saturday at 1 pm.
