MSU wins, U-M & UDM loses, & Lehigh upsets Duke in Round 2

Draymond Green scored 24 points in his second career tournament triple-double and Derrick Nix added 18 points as the #1 Michigan State Spartans fought off the upset bug with an 89-67 victory over the #16 Long Island Blackbirds to advance to the third round in the West Regional of the NCAA Tournament.




The #4 Michigan Wolveriens' second-half comeback efforts were thwarted by #13 Ohio as U-M fell to the Bobcats, 65-60 in the second round in the Midwest region of the NCAA Tournament inside Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.




Also in the Midwest region, teh #2 Kansas Jayhawks toppled the #15 Detroit Titans, 65-50 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska. The Titans end the 2011-12 season with a 22-14 overall record, along with the Horizon League championship.




C.J. McCollum scored 30 points as the Patriot League champion & #15 Lehigh Mountain Hawks pulled off a huge 2nd-round upset over the #2 Duke Blue Devils, 75-70 in the South region of the NCAA Tournament.
