Ovechkin helps Caps tie series; Kings take 2-0 lead
Alex Ovechkin scored a power-play goal with 7:27 remaining to give the Washington Capitals a 3-2 victory over the New York Rangers that evened the Eastern Conference semifinal series at one. Game 3 will take place this Wednesday night in Washington, D.C.
Anze Kopitar scored twice in a four-goal, first-period blitz as the 8th-seeded Los Angeles Kings embarrassed the St. Louis Blues from the opening faceoff in a 5-2 onslaught that gave them their fifth straight road win this postseason. With a 2-0 Western Conference semifinal lead, the Kings will head back to L.A. at the Staples Center this Thursday night for Game 3.
