Nets force Game 7 with Bulls; Warriors advance
Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, and Joe Johnson each scored 17 points as the Brooklyn Nets again avoided elimination by defeating the Chicago Bulls, 95-92, to tie their first-round series at three. The series goes back to Brooklyn for Game 7 this Saturday, in which the winner will travel to Miami to face the defending champion Heat in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Stephen Curry had 22 points & eight assists and Andrew Bogut broke out with the best performance of his injury-saddled season as the 6th seed Golden State Warriors eliminated the 3rd seed Denver Nuggets with a 92-88 victory in Game 6 of the Western Conference quarterfinals. Bogut had season-bests and career-playoff highs of 14 points & 21 rebounds and former Micihgan State star Draymond Green added a career-high 16 points & 10 rebounds to power Golden State into the second round for the first time in six years. Their next opponent will be the #2 seed San Antonio Spurs and Game 1 is set to take place this Monday night in Texas.
