Heat take 3-0 lead; Bulls hold off Nets; Grizzlies beat L.A.
Ray Allen scored 23 points and set a NBA career playoff record for 3-pointers in the process as the Miami Heat earned a 104-91 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks to give the defending champions a 3-0 lead and a chance to complete the sweep this Sunday afternoon at the Bradley Center. Chris Bosh added 16 points & 14 rebounds for the Heat, who have won 11 straight dating back to the regular season and 40 of their last 42. Chris Andersen finished with 11 points on 5-of-5 shooting and grabbed six rebounds in less than 14 minutes. Dwyane Wade had just four points, and his 1-of-12 shooting was his worst in a postseason game, but he contributed 11 assists, nine rebounds, five steals, and two blocks.
Carlos Boozer had 22 points & 16 rebounds and Luol Deng added 21 points & 10 rebounds as the Chicago Bulls held off the Brooklyn Nets, 79-76, in Game 3 of their first-round playoff series. Chicago had no field goals and two foul shots over the final 5:46 of its second straight win in the series. The Bulls will attempt for a 3-1 lead when the two teams return to the court this Saturday afternoon for Game 4.
Zach Randolph had 13 of his 27 points in the first quarter and finished with 11 rebounds as the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Los Angeles Clippers, 94-82, to trim the series lead 2-1 in the Western Conference quarterfinal series. The Grizzlies snapped the Clippers' nine-game winning streak by outrebounding and dominating on second-chance points. Game 4 is set to take place this Saturday in Memphis.
