Rough homecoming as Tigers get rocked by the White Sox, 11-4
Matt Tuiasosopo, Miguel Cabrera, and Don Kelly homered for Detroit, but it wasn't nearly enough, as the Tigers lose big to the Chicago White Sox, 11-4.
Justin Verlander struggled all night against the Sox, giving up five runs on twelve hits, and two homeruns in seven innings of work for the loss. White Sox starter Jose Quintana gave up just three runs in eight innings in a strong showing.
Detroit now stands just two & a half games ahead of Cleveland and hope to bounce back this Wednesday night when they send Rick Porcello (5-6) to face Dylan Axelrod (3-5) for a 7 pm start at Comerica Park.
