No lead is safe against the Tigers and it showed where the Tigers came back and beat the Twins 7-1. Down 1-0 in the seventh inning Torii Hunter connected on a two run double for a 2-1 Detroit lead.
After Miguel Cabrera walked Victor Martinez had a two run double also for the 4-1 lead after seven innings. Miguel Cabrera connected in the eighth on a three run double (123 RBI's) on the season.
Drew Smyly (5-0) pitched a scoreless inning in relieve of Anibal Sanchez in the seventh inning.
Justin Verlander starts for Detroit against Minnesota on Thursday, Game Time 1:08pm
