Spartans weather the storm against Western Michigan, 26-13
Officially, the game started at 8:01, was suspended at 9:03 due to a thunderstorm, resumed at 9:59, and ended at 12:36 a.m. And by the end of the night, Michigan State came out on top against the Western Michigan Broncos, 26-13, and 12 of those points actually belonged to the Spartans’ offense.
Senior quarterback Andrew Maxwell was 11-for-21 for 74 yards passing and backup sophomore QB Connor Cook was 6-for-16 for 42 yards and ran it four times for 35 yards.
The first weekend of college football resumes this Saturday as Michigan host Central Michigan at 3:30, followed by Eastern Michigan with a home game against Howard at 6 pm.
