Titans have bad day at home & on the road
At Calihan Hall, the women just couldn't find an answer to the Raiders' offensive onslaught as Wright State defeated the Titans 75-55. Titan sophoremore Dominique Dixon lead the team with 15 points, followed by Yar Shayok's 12 points, and yet Detroit still shot 28% throughout the whole game. Plus, it didn't help to have Wright State's LaShawna Thomas score a career-high 24 points. The Titans (10-13, 4-8 HL) will look to drastically improve in the Horizon League standings next weekend at Calihan Hall when they face Youngstown State on Thursday at 7 pm and Cleveland State on Saturday at 2 pm.
Meanwhile on the road, the men could not get their revenge against Butler as they went down in Indianapolis, 66-51. Ray McCallum & Nick Minnerath led the Titans with 11 points each, but the combination of their 2nd half slow start and Butler's Shelvin Mack with his career-high 32 points was too much for Detroit. Hoping to move up in the Horizon League standings, the Titans (14-14, 8-8 HL) will play their last home game of the regular season this Wednesday when they face Youngstown State at 7 pm.
