Michigan women win Big Ten opener against Indiana, 82-57
The #7 Michigan Wolverines opened the women's Big Ten Tournament with an 82-57 victory over 10th-seeded Indiana Hoosiers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. Michigan, who used a 24-4 run to take control in the first half, had five players score in double figures with junior forward Cyesha Goree leading the team with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists.
After advancing to the quarterfinals, a classic rivalry awaits the Wolverines move on to face #2Michigan State this Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. Michigan will look to avenge a 79-72 loss to the Spartans, which occured on January 12th at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor.
